Held every Monday at the Chapel in Tourist Hostel, the Worship Service is conducted by the staff members of the New Delhi YMCA. Occasionally we invite eminent guest speakers too.
It is regularly organised on the second Saturday of every month at the New Delhi YMCA. The Prayer Breakfast Fellowship is regularly attended by ND-YMCA members, staff and guests to not only imbibe the message from Lord Jesus but also listen to the inspirational stories of various guest speakers, on how our Lord has made their lives better.
Today’s youth is reeling under immense personal and professional stress. And this can only be cut down through professional psychological support and guidance by expert counsellors.
As per studies there are around 1800 para Churches in and around Delhi. The Leaders and Pastors here as well as Lay leaders from mainline Churches often lack necessary skills and training to support and manage Church, community work. The Department of Christian Emphasis plans to help and guide these leaders in Biblical scripture understanding and also impart managerial skill training.
The Easter Pageant is an audio-visual presentation of the Birth and Life of Lord Jesus Christ culminating in his Resurrection and Ascension. More than 120 participants from all Departments of the YMCA, including the students are involved in this gala. Whatmore, this gala is held on one day in Hindi and another in English, since close to five decades.
300 underprivileged students between the age group of 6 to 16 years, both from English & Hindi medium, participate in ECC for 6 days at the YMCA venue. During this event, these children are provided all basic amenities and taught by volunteers.
We propose to take the camp outside Delhi at our YMCA Sattal Campsite where young students are groomed in leadership as well as spiritual aspects of Chritianity.
What better a way to teach Bible than by holding a quiz! A lot of Christian schools send their teams (3 members, class 8-12) to participate in this Quiz conducted by a team of qualified quizmasters.
This is held once a year during the Second week in November as decided by the World YMCA. Four partners NDY, National Council of YMCA, National YWCA and Delhi YWCA come together to organise various programme through the week.
Held in the month of November, it brings together young musicians from various Schools in NCR to promote Christian Spiritual Music. Young students participate in both solo and choir categories at the Heinz Auditorium, NDY.
An evening of fun and games is held to create a spiritual connect among children of NDY members at the garden of the Tourist Hostel. Santa's arrival with gifts is the highlight of the day!
This is an annual event for Spiritual upliftment of the Christian community.
This programme is being conducted from the early 1970's to bring together well-known choirs from Delhi/NCR and is attended by a large number of people.
